We have a range of service in Dundee for children and young people who are affected in any way by alcohol or drug issues, and for young people who are involved with offending.

The aim of Link-UP is....
To support young people (10-19) who are vulnerable as a result of substance misuse (their own or others) and/or offending/ anti social behaviour
Link-UP provides a mentoring service to vulnerable young people living within the boundaries of Dundee City/Angus. The service is for young people who are involved in some way with substance misuse or offending. We recruit, train, support and supervise volunteer mentors who are then matched with individual young people.

interested in becoming a volunteer mentor? We are always looking for enthusiastic, caring, adaptable individuals to train as volunteer mentors.

This is a service for young people who are worried in some way by their own use of alcohol or other drugs. Maybe your drinking or drug use is beginning to cause you some problems. Our project worker will work with to help you to think about the impact alcohol or other drugs might be having on your life. We aim to ensure you are well equipped with the right knowledge and understanding you need to be able to make good safe decisions. At some point in our lives, we may find ourselves overwhelmed by our emotions; these may be difficult to face either by ourselves or with others. Art therapy offers an opportunity to explore these intense or painful thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment.
Art therapy involves the use of art materials for self-expression and reflection in the presence of a trained art therapist. Art therapy involves drawing or painting or making things of your own choice. You do not have to be good at art to do art therapy. It can help you understand how you feel or why you react to situations in your life. It offers the opportunity for expression and communication, and can be particularly useful to people who find it difficult to express their thoughts and feelings verbally. Sometimes words alone do not seem to be enough but images and words together may be able to convey what one wants to say. It can also help people to resolve issues as well as develop and manage their behaviours and feelings, reduce stress and improve self-esteem and awareness.
